I will not be flying out to

Jeremy over at Shoemoney.com normally runs a free shirt Friday article on his blog where readers of his can send him free shirts in hopes of getting picked. This Friday was a little different then the normal, it was free tatoo friday where a reader sent in a picture of two tattoos he had put on his arm. Joe Tamargo, aka Sundaybrew has one tattoo of Digital Point forum and the other being Shoemoney.com. Each tattoo had the logo and name of the website on his arm. Talk about some dedication on his part, or maybe just a little crazy? I wonder in 30 years if he will regret ever getting those tattoos done? I don’t care how much I like a website; I personally would never do anything like that. That however is one hell of a permanent link; I wonder how long it will take Google to index his arm.
UPDATE
Tom over at SalaryMap reminded me that Joe had a third tattoo added to his forearm. GrownUpGeek is the third permanent link that was tattooed by Joe, man I have to say I think that is still a crazy idea to do something like that.
I just want to let everyone know I am now using full RSS feeds and have also included the option to receive the feed via email as well. I understand in today’s society people want there information as fast as they can get it and do not want to be forced to do anything. So by using a partial feed, you are giving your subscribers only part of the article and then forcing them to go to your website to read the rest. I do not rely on this website to generate any income, there are no advertisements or affiliate links as of this post on the site. I also understand that by using a full feed I run the chance of having less traffic coming to my website because the readers get the full article now. That is also fine, as long as my visitors are able to read my articles and learn this industry then that is what matters. So if you already haven’t, I recommend signing up to my RSS feed and be up to date on all the happenings and information at SEMSpot.
In the past month I have become fond of the digitalpoint forum, it is a good place for information. Yes I know there are plenty of other places, just a post there made me write this here. To this day I still people asking and referring to and using the overture keyword tool. It has not been updated since January, making it 6 months old now. Why are you still using data results that are 6 months old? When it was being updated on a monthly basis, it was a very accurate and great tool to use. Now though it is a complete waste, so people please move on to other tools and quit referring still to the overture tool. The following are still free to use:
Wordtracker (they have a free version)
There are other websites out there that you will see list overture results. Write that number down, then go to the overture tool that you used swear up and down by and you will see the numbers match up. So don’t get to excited when you see websites listing overture results, they are just pulling the data from the old keyword tool.
There are other ones out there
Should you buy links from other sites to boost your PR or traffic? This has been going on for a while now, sites with higher PR have been selling spots on there website just like selling banner advertisements. It is a great way to boost your PR really, I wouldn’t expect a ton of traffic from doing this. There have been cases though of getting on a high profile website that can generate sales for you. However do not expect this with all of the links. Google say’s they will be cracking down on the bought links as they do not pertain to what the viewer really wants to see. If you are purchasing links for the purpose of increasing your PR, then buy from sites that are in the same niche as you and that do not advertise that these are the “paid links section”. I have seen websites that sell links, but the heading reads “Paid advertisers” or “Paid links” which will not look good to the Googlebot.
I saw this post over at Shoemoney.com that the Rich Jerk is now for sale. Asking price on Bizquest was $8 Million. Funny that he is now selling the business and going bankrupt from the sounds of it. Quote from the sale on Bizquest
This is a multi-million dollar operation. Full financial details will be given to qualified potential buyers.
For more details, contact us.
What I don’t understand is if it is a multi-million dollar operation how could someone be going bankrupt?
